Key:    —  Not Possible      Helicals    ×  Not Recommended Helicals 1.  ROMTECH can make helicals from R6 to H12 for cage O/D up to 1050mm and in H16 for larger cage O/D’s as indicated by: 2.  ROMTECH can make helicals of O/D ranging from 100mm to 2000mm. 3.  The range shown can be pulled out to pitch on site. 4.  Helicals can be made to pitch for smaller O/D but rings should preferably be specified. 5.  Where helicals are made to pitch, steelfixers recommend that the overall axial length should not exceed 1.5m – 2.0m. 6.  Helicals made to pitch will incur an extra charge per tonne production cost over ROMTECH’s normal selling price. 7.  It should be noted that helicals made to pitch are extremely bulky and are likely to incur extra carriage costs. Rings 1.  Rings should be specified for smaller O/Ds rather than helicals. ROMTECH can make rings in bar sizes 6mm to 25mm. 2.  ROMTECH can make rings in O/D size from 100mm to 3000mm. 3.  Rings can be made overlapped or welded. 4.  When ordering overlapped rings, the lap is generally defined as 40 x dia. of the bar specified. 5.  Welded rings will generally have a lap of 50mm unless specified otherwise. Note: lap may need a structural weld. When ordering closed pitch helicals, please state the wire size, finished O/D, Number of turns & pitch of helical when pulled open. ROMTECH will calculate the O/D size of helical to allow for shrinkage, to finish up with your final O/D when pulled out to pitch.
